His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun graciously designated His Excellency Privy Councilor Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk to present the National Father of the Year Awards 2017 to candidates on the occasion of Father’s Day and in commemoration of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birthday on 5 December. Mr. Sermsakool Klaikaew, Governor of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), was among 379 candidates selected to receive the Award. Shortlisted candidates were selected from across the country. The qualified fathers were assessed on a basis of 12 qualifications: loyalty to the nation, religion, and royalty; faith in democracy; age over 50 years; monogamy; full support for children’s education; children’s occupation; social contribution; morality; lawful profession.
